Rotterdam Beach vs. Barceloneta beach

A beach around the corner from Rotterdam? Yes, indeed! Hoek van Holland, also known as Rotterdam Beach, offers a beautiful beach just 37 minutes from the center of Rotterdam. You can easily reach it by metro. In addition to the lovely sea and charming harbor, this place boasts a rich history, evident in its monuments, sculptures, and coastal bunkers where you can even spend the night. You'll find various beach pavilions where you can relax after a walk, bike ride, or museum visit. All that's left to do is to enjoy! 

Need a break after a busy conference day? Then visit Barceloneta Beach! Barcelona's beach stretches for 4 kilometers and consists of seven distinct beach areas. Along the extensive Barceloneta beach, you can find numerous trendy beach bars offering delicious snacks and local drinks. This bustling beach is one of the busiest and, at the same time, coziest in Barcelona, with various sports and recreational facilities, allowing you to enjoy your day here to the fullest. Vamos a la playa! 

Architecture in Rotterdam vs. Barcelona

The architecture in Rotterdam is an impressive blend of modern and innovative design, offering a diverse array of beautiful buildings. Take, for example, the iconic Cube Houses with their unique structure. The cubes appear to be tilted, with three sides facing the ground and three facing the sky. The Markthal seamlessly combines living and shopping under a massive arch adorned with a spectacular mural.
