- How can I reach Rotterdam Ahoy when using public transport?
Metro lines D and E and a large number of buslines stop at Zuidplein, five minutes walking distance from Rotterdam Ahoy.
For the latest public transport information we refer to the websites of the Dutch Railways, The RET Rotterdam, or use the general public transportations overview. Are you attending an evening event? Plan your trip carefully to ensure you can get home afterward.
- Where can I park my car at Rotterdam Ahoy?
Rotterdam Ahoy has over more than 2.500 parking spots. At an eventday a parking spot costs €21.00. To be sure of parking next to Ahoy on event days, it is possible to buy a parking ticket with parking guarantee until 2 hours before the event for €20.00. In case you did not purchase a parking guarantee, you can still park at Ahoy, depending on availability. Be aware that without a parking guarantee, there is a possibility that all parking spots are occupied.
Touringcar / large bus
Are you coming with a touring car or large bus that does not fit in a single parking space? Then, for most events, we cannot offer a parking guarantee. You can try driving to the North Entrance, where you can report to our traffic controllers. They will check if there is space for the touring car or large bus. If there is space, parking costs €50 per event day. If there is no space, you can drop off your passengers at the front of Ahoy and then park at one of the truck parking lots in Rotterdam.

- Are there lockers in Rotterdam Ahoy?
RTM Stage
At RTM Stage you can store your valuables in a locker for a fee. Bags larger than A4 size or other large items such as an umbrella or helmet do not fit in these lockers. During shows in RTM Stage, no cloakrooms are open.Ahoy Arena, RACC & Halls
During events in the Ahoy Arena and the RACC, the availability of lockers or a checkroom may vary for each event; this will be communicated in good time. Use of the lockers and checkroom is subject to payment.Taking along non-foldable umbrellas, large and unwieldy objects, especially suitcases, backpacks and bags with a size larger than A4 size and thicker than 10 cm (including wheels, handles and front and side pockets) is not permitted.
Are you bringing a stroller/buggy to the event? Please inquire with a service staff member or security guard on site about storage options. The location varies per event and is an unguarded location and therefore entirely at your own risk.

- What are the opening hours of the ticket booth?
Ahoy cooperates with ticket sellers that sell ticket online. We advise to contact the event organiser or ticket seller for questions about ticketing. There is no fysical ticket booth at Ahoy.
- Where can I order my tickets?
Tickets can be ordered through the links on the eventpage on our website. This will be a link to the official point of sales. To be guaranteed a valid ticket, be sure to only order tickets from the official ticketwebsites.
- When will the ticketsales of an event begin?

The opening hours of Ahoy differs per event. The opening hours of the event can be found on the event page on this website. The doors open normally an hour before the start of the event.

By subway it takes only 15 minutes to reach Ahoy. By bike or by car it will be around 25 minutes to travel from Rotterdam Center to Ahoy.
- What's the best way to reach Rotterdam Ahoy by car?

Rotterdam - Does Ahoy have a Kiss & Ride zone to drop off someone or pick them up?
Are you being dropped off or picked up? Then navigate to the front of Ahoy. Here, traffic controllers will direct you to a temporary parking spot where the driver can drop you off and pick you up (a maximum of 15 minutes of waiting at the Kiss and Ride).
- How long does it take to reach Rotterdam Ahoy from Rotterdam Central Station?
By subway it takes only 15 minutes to reach Ahoy from Rotterdam Central Station. From bus and metro station Zuidplein it's a 5 minute walk to Ahoy. By bike or by car it will be around 25 minutes to travel from Rotterdam Central Station to Ahoy.
Parking
- Where can I park my car at Rotterdam Ahoy?
Rotterdam Ahoy has over more than 2.500 parking spots. At an eventday a parking spot costs €21.00. - What to do if the parking is full
If you have booked parking guarantee in advance you can always park here.
If you do not have booked parking guarantee you can find a spot at Q-Park Zuidplein or P+R Slinge.
- What is the price of parking at Rotterdam Ahoy?
The price per car for a parking spot will cost you €21.00 on an event day. Buying a parking spot in advance costs €20.00. The car park is open 24/7.
If you like a guaranteed parking space close to the venue, we would recommend you purchase a parking ticket in advance. This ticket will guarantee you a parking space for only €20.00.
- Do I receive a parking ticket when entering the car park?
When entering the car park you will receive a parking ticket. Our system will register your licence plate and print it on the ticket. You can pay at any time at our pay terminals or by scanning the QR code on the parkingticket.
When leaving the car park, the barrier will open automatically via license plate registration.
If you have bought Parking Guarantee in advance you need to scan your ticket (printed or on your smart phone) on enter. When you leave, the barrier will open automatically via license plate registration.
- Is it possible to charge my electric car?
At this moment Rotterdam Ahoy does not offer charging stations for electric cars, so it is not possible to charge electric cars. There are electric charging stations available in Q-park Zuidplein.

- When will my complaint be handled?
We aim to deal with your complaint within three working days. The response time depends on the complexity of the complaint.
Access to Ahoy
- The ticket states 'free standing and seating'. What does this mean?
This only applies to tickets for the Arena/RTM Stage floor. When mentioned on the ticket, it is possible to use a number of seats on the Arena grandstand and pitches on the Arena/RTM Stage floor. It is not possible to reserve these seats in advance. In this case, the first visitors to enter the event site will have the first choice.
- Am I allowed to bring medication?
If you can prove you have to take these medications on doctor's orders you are allowed to take your mediactions inside the venue.
- How many entrances are there and where can I find them?
There are multiple entrances. Through the main entrance you reach Ahoy Plaza which leads to the Exhibition & Events halls, and Restaurants Seventy One and RiVers. During various events, the private entrance to Hall 1 is used; this is indicated on the spot. Via the entrances RTM Stage and RACC, you can reach the RTM Stage en the Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Centre. The Ahoy Arena offers various clearly marked entrance doors at the front, depending on your location which is indicated on your ticket. You can see our entire accommodation on the map.
- Can I bring a photo or video camera?
Depending on the event organiser, there are different rules for taking photo equipment with you. For concerts, the rule applies that cameras and camera lenses that can obstruct the sightlines of other visitors are absolutely forbidden. Professional photographic, audio, visual and other (recording) equipment is not allowed. Simple (digital) cameras without interchangeable lenses are allowed, provided that an artist or band has given permission for this. If this is not the case, you will be alerted by security staff.
It is forbidden to use the image and/or sound recordings other than for private purposes. Video cameras are prohibited at all times in connection with the image rights of the event organiser. If your camera is taken by security personnel upon entry, you can of course pick it up again afterwards.
- Is Rotterdam Ahoy accessible for disabled people?
Rotterdam Ahoy has several facilities for disabled visitors. These include an area for taxis in front of the main entrance which can also be used to drop off disabled visitors. There are also disabled parking spaces close to the main entrance. We have wheelchairs available free of charge at the porter’s lodge in Ahoy Plaza (please bring your ID as a security).
There is lift access throughout the venue. Our disabled toilet facilities are fitted with an alarm. We also have special seats available for people with disabilities.
When purchasing your ticket, you must clearly indicate that you wish to use the special wheelchair spaces. Depending on the seating arrangements in the Ahoy Arena and RTM Stage, wheelchair spaces are located on a wheelchair platform in front of the grandstand. Each disabled visitor can sit together with one able-bodied person on the wheelchair platform. This person is primarily responsible for the well-being of the disabled person. The accompanying person must also possess an access card. Users of the wheelchair spaces can use the same entrance as other visitors.

- Can I visit Rotterdam Ahoy with my Autism Pass?
Ahoy is a concert and event venue that is packed with activities and often attracts thousands of visitors. From the moment you enter, it is buzzing with crowds, (loud) sounds, showlights and other stimuli and impressions.
We advise you to consider for yourself in advance whether the event is suitable for you to visit. Keep in mind that most concerts and events are crowded.
- Are pets and assistance dogs allowed in Rotterdam Ahoy?
Dogs and other pets are not allowed in Rotterdam Ahoy. We only make an exception for specially trained dogs that are used to guide disabled people, such as guide dogs for the blind and Assistance Dogs Foundation. Consultation with Ahoy is required for this. Papers proving that it is a service dog should be shown at the Porter's lodge at the back of the Ahoy plaza. We advise you to call in advance.
- Do I have to print out my tickets/parking tickets?
It is not necessary to print your tickets. You can scan your ticket and/or parking ticket from your mobile phone. To do this, set the brightness of your screen to maximum strength.
- Can I bring my own food and drink?
It is not allowed to bring your own food and/or drinks to Ahoy.
- What is the minimum age for visiting events in Ahoy?
Ahoy applies a minimum advice age of 16 years for independent visits to events (without supervision from an adult). Visitors under the age of 18 years have no access to night events, unless otherwise mentioned by the organiser.

It is not possible to pay with cash at Rotterdam Ahoy. You can pay easily and quickly with PIN or credit card at all Rotterdam Ahoy catering establishments. Cashless payment is possible if you have Maestro, VISA, or Mastercard.

- How do I find my way in Rotterdam Ahoy?
In Ahoy there are more than 20 screens displaying useful information. In addition, you will find signage at strategic locations within the building.
- Are there diaper changing areas or lactation rooms somewhere?
Diaper changing areas can be found in various disabled toilets. A first aid post is often available as a lactation room. Ask our staff for a suitable location.
- Can I get something to eat before / during my visit to Ahoy?
A quick sandwich from the gas station is not necessary; Rotterdam Ahoy can offer you everything you want in terms of food! Before your visit to one of our fairs, concerts, shows, exhibitions and other events you can always enjoy a snack and drink or an extensive dinner.

- Can I smoke or e-smoke / vape in Rotterdam Ahoy?
Rotterdam Ahoy is a non-smoking location. Smoking inside is strictly prohibited. Smoking, incl. E-smoking / vaping, is only allowed in the designated smoking areas outside. Ahoy reserves the right to remove visitors who smoke inside the building.
- How is the room arranged / is there a golden circle?
This differs per event. The event organiser decides what is shown. It's possible to see the venue and possible golden circle at the checkout.
- Is there air conditioning or heating in ahoy?
A thermal energy storage system (TES) ensures that the heat collected is used for heating in the winter and the cold collected for cooling in the summer. During periods when the TES system cannot supply sufficient heat, it is supplemented with district heating. Heat and cold are also collected via 150 m2 of asphalt collectors on the Ahoyweg and stored in the TES system.
- Does Rotterdam Ahoy offer a wardrobe?

Rotterdam Ahoy is 54,000 m2 in total. The Ahoy Arena, as part of the total accommodation, has a maximum capacity of 16,426 people. The six Exhibition & Event Halls together reach over 30,000 m2. With its 3,100 m2 RTM Stage has a capacity of 7,842 people. The RACC adds 35 extra breakout rooms to this list.
- What is the maximum capacity of Ahoy's largest space?
The Ahoy Arena, as part of the total accommodation, has a maximum capacity of over 16,426 people. For events where all visitors must be able to attend (plenary) in one room, this is the maximum capacity.

The spaces herein are suitable for meetings, congresses, product presentations, workshops, training courses, seminars, etc. A meeting for ten people is already possible in Ahoy.

Ahoy certainly aims to do so by:
- Not using fossil fuels and offering alternatives for e.g. forklift trucks

- Filtering/compensating CO2 by greening (= cooling). Compensating through greening.
- To be completely gas-free.
- To have a mossedum roof on the Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Centre.
