Rotterdam Ahoy remains the home of World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition until 2028

The World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition (WHS) will celebrate its fifth consecutive edition at Rotterdam Ahoy in 2026. At the same time, the partnership between the international summit and Rotterdam Ahoy has been extended through to 2028, ensuring the event will continue to take place in Rotterdam in the years ahead.

Over recent years, WHS has grown into one of the leading international events for the hydrogen sector. Each year, thousands of professionals, policymakers, companies and innovators from around the world gather in Rotterdam to exchange knowledge, build partnerships and help accelerate the global energy transition.

The 2026 edition will take place from 19 to 21 May at Ahoy. This year’s programme focused on the role of hydrogen in addressing global energy and climate challenges, with a strong emphasis on scaling demand and accelerating international collaboration. The event also introduced dedicated Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) and Energy Storage zones for the first time, reflecting the growing demand for integrated solutions in the energy transition.

"We are proud that WHS has once again chosen Ahoy for the coming years,” says CEO Jolanda Jansen. "Rotterdam plays an important international role in the energy transition. The fact that governments, businesses and innovators come together here to help shape the future of clean energy is a perfect fit for both the city and Ahoy.”

With the extension through to 2028, Rotterdam Ahoy further strengthens its position as a venue for international events that contribute to innovation, collaboration and economic development.
