Cinema in Concert is bringing one of the most iconic film concerts of all time back to the largest venues in the Netherlands and Belgium this Autumn: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in Concert. In this spectacular production, director Peter Jackson's film classic is screened in its entirety on the big screen, while the award-winning music by composer Howard Shore is performed live by a 200 headed symphonic ensemble of orchestra and choir.
This concert series marks the 25th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, with a truly special milestone on December 19, 2026 - the exact date the film premiered 25 years ago. The film concert will be performed in December 2026 by no fewer than 200 musicians, including the Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen, Brabant Koor, Souvenir Jeugdkoor, Kooracademie Breda, and a soloist. Together, they bring Howard Shore's epic, Academy® and Grammy® Award-winning score to life, perfectly synchronized with the film.
The Fellowship of the Ring is globally acclaimed as one of the greatest movies ever made. The story follows Frodo and his journey with the Fellowship to destroy the One Ring and thus save Middle-earth from the dark lord Sauron. The combination of visuals and live music makes this performance a grand, immersive experience in which the power of cinema
and music comes together. 
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in Concert is presented by Cinema in Concert, known for large-scale film concerts where iconic films are screened with a live orchestra performing the soundtrack in sync. Additionally, they organize their own productions such as Efteling in Concert, in collaboration with Efteling.
